Instructions for Use of the GMI M-60 De-Linker
The M60 De-Linker is an accessory for the GMI M7A4 Universal Loading Press. It is designed to fit over the vertical lip of the M7A4 push plate(Fig. 1)
 Fig.1
and requires no tools for installation. It will de-link 20 rounds at a time, in a staggered fashion (Fig. 2)
 Fig.2
by pushing the ammunition forward completely through the links (Fig. 3).
 Fig.3
Before installing the de-linker, the M60 GPMG Linker Plate must be in place on the Loading Press. Installation of the de-linker is simple. After placing a belt of ammunition on the linker plate, links down (Fig. 4)
 Fig.4
you simply drop the de-linker over the push plate, engaging the vertical lip of the push plate with the slot on the rear of the de-linker.
You then slide the de-linker to one side or the other to align the pushpins with the individual rounds (Fig. 5).
 Fig.5
To operate (de-link), shove the rounds slowly forward (Fig. 6).
 Fig.6
If necessary, you can use the hold-down bar that is supplied with the M60 GPMG Linker Plate to keep the de-linker pushpins and/or ammunition from springing upward out of alignment. The initial push will require some effort to overcome the retaining force of the first few links, but once everything is moving, the other rounds will snap forward much easier. As you continue shoving forward, watch to make sure the de-linker push pins start through the holes in the linker plate (Refer to Fig. 3 again).
If necessary, stop momentarily to reposition the de-linker. To continue, lift the de-linker off the push plate. Reposition the belt in the linker plate and drop on the de-linker once again, repeating the steps till the belt is empty.
